I've always shot pictures wherever I go, often without having any specific purpose in mind for the images. Occasionally the effort has paid off spectacularly in financial terms, but my time spent in south-west France has been more like a labour of love.

Mountains and beaches, castles and rivers, local festivals and typical 'Frenchness' to the extreme, all mingle together in an intense palette of colour and texture.

So, here is my major collection of travel photographs... and even though I have been to the far corners of the world, my greatest inspiration has come from our closest neighbour.

Being a fan of Rick Steins culinary journey along the Canal Du Midi, I was hoping to express visually the tastes of the Languedoc's cuisine and wine which I had been experiencing. So when I saw this typical autumn scene, I knew that it was the image I was looking for.

Whether for the ardent francophile, or casual tourist, Imagesdefrance prints and canvasses offer a unique and charming alternative to modern, massed produced chain-store décor.

This is just a very small selection from my files, please enquire if you have any other image requests.

All of the images are also available for editorial use.
